Asteria Chronicle

Overview

Asteria Chronicle is a fantasy event by the Yuuhi no Hikari community, and this is the site that introduced it to visitors. The homepage opens with a full-screen video and a countdown ticking down to the day itself, so anyone landing there immediately knows what it is and how long is left. From there, visitors can read what the medieval theme is about, check the rules before coming, and choose how they want to take part. There are four separate paths joining a Party Quest with two friends, signing up as a volunteer, performing as a talent, or entering the boffer tournament each with its own page explaining what's involved, with photo galleries you can swipe through. An announcement page carries the details people need closer to the day, including party name lists, the event rundown, and a location map. Everything works on phones as well as laptops, which matters for an audience that mostly browses on mobile.

Problem

Event information was scattered across Instagram posts and chat messages. People kept asking the same things when is it, what are the rules, how do I sign up, who's performing and the answers were buried in old posts that were hard to find again.

Solution

One website that answers all of it. The countdown makes the date impossible to miss, the rules sit on their own page so nobody has to ask, and each way of joining gets a proper page explaining what it involves before you commit. Partners and sponsors are displayed together in clear sections, giving them the visibility they were promised in one consistent place.

Challenges

The biggest challenge was keeping a fantasy atmosphere without making the site slow or confusing. A background video and a medieval font set the mood, but they can't get in the way of someone who just wants to know the date so a loading screen covers the wait, and the key information sits right at the top. The menu was the other tricky part. Four registration options plus the regular pages is a lot to fit on a phone screen, so it folds into a tap-to-open menu with a dropdown, instead of cramming everything into one row.

Result

A complete eight-page website that served as the event's official home, covering everything from first announcement to the final details on event day. It featured fifteen partners and sponsors across four categories, and gave the community a single link to share instead of repeating answers in the comments.
